🎻 Coda Music Program
Since 2015, Looscan has proudly partnered with the Houston Youth Symphony to bring the Coda Music Program to our campus. This free, after-school program provides high-quality music education for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. Taught by professional teaching artists and using instruments provided by HYS, the curriculum is based on the El Sistema model—which uses classical music and group instruction to promote teamwork, discipline, and community through ensemble performance.
Thanks to the support of the Texas Commission on the Arts through the Arts Respond Program, this inspiring opportunity continues to be available at no cost to families. Any interested 3rd–5th grade student is welcome to join!

HOPE STONE
A leader in arts education since 1997, Hope Stone celebrates 29 years of artistic excellence and recognition in Houston, Texas. With a vision of “Art for All,” our programs serve a diverse population and foster communities of creative, compassionate and problem-solving citizens. Hope Stone is committed to improving the quality of life for Houstonians through art.
Hope Stone’s mindful arts healing and education program, The Hope Project serves over 900 children in their schools and facilities through classes in music (drumming, eurhythmics, guitar, keyboard, vocal), theater/spoken word, dance (creative movement, modern, ballet, ethnic), photography, digital arts, fashion design/sewing, and creative emotional intelligence.
We invest our time and resources in our students because we believe this generation of children will help provide the solutions to their community’s challenges – if they learn to creatively problem-solve, to think broadly and boldly, and are confident that they and their ideas matter. Art teaches all of these skills.
